Sharepoint on 2008 SBS can cause mail problems

SBS 2008 installs Sharepoint among other things.
I strongly recommend removing and/or abandoning the Sharepoint if it is not used.

If you still decide to use it - know, it may cause Bind errors
(An error in which software fails to listen on a certain port because it is already occupied by another software).

• Sharepoint installs a service called Simple Mail Transport Protocol, which conflicts with port 25 of its replacement in Exchange 2007, the Microsoft Exchange Transport service.
• In addition Sharepoint installs Sites in IIS (probably) among them is the administration site which works on port 443 and may cause a conflict with OWA.
